Our Mode Conditioning Patchcords provide an effective launch platform for 1310 nm Laser switches being used in multimode cabling systems.
Mode conditioned patch cords can allow a much higher operational bandwidth by precisely aligning a single mode termination at the laser transmitter and providing an off-center launch into the multimode fiber core. This is essential for networks using legacy 62.5/125 and 50/125 multimode optical fiber and may be specified for current multimode networks depending upon the system requirements.
