AFL Hyperscale today announced the launch of the new H-Series 4RU Housing and Splice-Through Cassette, now available across the globe. As the latest member of the H-Series modular connectivity family, the 4RU Housing and Splice-Through Cassette is perfect for colocation data center customers who want to distribute high-fiber cable counts to low-fiber counts across the data center white space to bring new customers online fast and securely.
The 19-inch, rack-mountable housing is easy to install and perfect for shallow-depth environments, freeing up floor and rack space for customers. True to H-Series form, housings and cassettes are 100% front access with room for up to 24 click-and-release H-Series Splice-Through Cassettes, so customers can scale their network as they grow.
With the potential to distribute up to 1,152 ribbon fibers across 24 x 48 ribbon fiber splice cassettes, installation times can be reduced by 40% when used with Fujikura SpiderWeb Ribbon® (SWR®) fiber and mass-fusion splicer when compared to single fiber splicing.
“The H-Series was designed with colocation data centers in mind. As fiber counts have continued to increase, many of our colocation customers face the complexity of distributing high fiber counts to low fiber counts across the data hall,” said Louise Julien, U.S. National Sales Manager, AFL Hyperscale. “Now, with the addition of the new #H-Series 4RU Housing and Splice-Through Cassette, we can help our colocation customers to future-proof their network, lower installation costs, reduce network complexity and increase their revenue by bringing customers online faster.”
– Louise Julien, U.S. National Sales Manager
The H-Series 4RU Housing and Splice-Through Cassette can form part of a 25-year warrantied network when installed by an AFL Hyperscale Installation Partner or accredited site engineer.
