Almost a year has passed since the coronavirus outbreak was labelled a pandemic by the World Health Organization. Healthcare professionals and support staff around the world have been working day and night on the frontlines of the health crisis.
In the UK, NHS staff have been the helping hands supporting us through the pandemic but hospitals and healthcare facilities across the country are under an unprecedented amount of pressure.
Milton Keynes University Hospital is one of the hospitals providing essential care (as well as a large-scale vaccination service), so we were delighted to be able to purchase some items to help support both staff and patients, including:
- Items to help patients pass the time as they recover (puzzles, puzzle books, crafts, playing cards, and coloring books)
- Toiletries (personal care items, moisturizer, cleansing wipes, deodorants, and toothbrushes)
- Refreshments (sachets of soup, porridge, water, and cereal bars)
It is an incredibly challenging time for both patients and staff alike so we hope these donations make their day that little bit easier.
If you would like to help support the hospital, more information on how to do so can be found on the Milton Keynes University Hospital Charity website.
